Promoting energy security and emissions reductions

We support practical policy solutions that consider the world’s growing need for reliable and affordable energy, and incentivize investments in lower-emission technology development and implementation. Government policy support, along with technology advancements, can further accelerate lower-emission technologies necessary to achieve a lower-emissions future. Longer term, we’re encouraging governments to look more broadly at letting the markets figure out which solutions provide the most emissions reductions for the lowest cost.

Along the way, we should never forget, there are nearly 775 million people living without electricity today – all wanting a better quality of life and the opportunities that secure, affordable, and reliable energy can help provide. This is why we advocate for sound government policies that encourage the responsible development of energy resources and also act as an accelerator for lower-emission alternatives.

Political transparency
