Production and handling
The field is located approximately 210km due east of Aberdeen. Production began in 1997 and has fallen to ~7 kbd, of which ExxonMobil markets ~1 kbd. Typically sold to refiners in NW Europe on a delivered basis, with delivery option to U.S. subject to transhipment at Nigg Bay or Scapa Flow. Typical cargo size is 500kb.
Load Port Data
Maersk Curlew, an FPSO vessel, is located 130 nautical miles due east of Aberdeen with storage capacity of 560kb. Oil will be exported via shuttle tanker from Maersk Curlew.
Typical characteristics
A light low sulfur crude with good quality diesel and kerosene cuts. Similar to Forties, but lighter and with lower sulfur content.
