Production and handling
Kutubu Blend crude oil is produced in Papua New Guinea, comprising production from the Kutubu, Moran, Gobe Main and South East Gobe complex of fields. Production began in 1992 and currently averages approximately 36 kbd. ExxonMobil holds 18% interest in the field production mix with the balance of production shared between eight other companies.
Load Port Data
The crude is loaded at Kumul Marine Terminal in the Gulf of Papua.

Characteristics
Light, low sulfur crude suitable as a general purpose crude oil and suitable for production of middle distillates and mogas. The atmospheric resid is suitable as feedstock for catalytic crackers.
