Mondo

Mondo Terminal is located 90 miles offshore Northern Angola, due west of Soyo, at 6°, 9.6 South, 11°, 16.4 East in 728 meters of water depth. The terminal consists of the turret moored FPSO (floating production, storage and offloading vessel) MONDO, operated by Single Buoy Moorings (SBM), which can accommodate tankers of up to 350Kdwt. The first crude loading was in January 2008. 

Tankers moor astern in a typical tandem moored arrangement, assisted by one Line Handling Boat and one large tug. 2 x 16 inch cargo hose tails can load the tanker at 44,000 bbls per hour. One tug provides static tow from astern throughout the loading operation. 

Tankers are restricted to daylight approach and mooring. 

Production

Production commenced in January 2008 and is currently averaging approximately 65 kbd. ExxonMobil has a 40% equity share.
