Saxi Batuque Terminal
Terminal is located 90 miles offshore Northern Angola, west of Soyo, at 6°, 19.28 South, 11°, 16.78 East in 721 meters of water depth. The terminal consists of the turret moored FPSO SAXI, operated by Single Buoy Moorings (SBM), which can accommodate tankers of up to 350Kdwt. The first crude loading was in 2008.
Tankers moor astern in a typical tandem moored arrangement, assisted by one Line Handling Boat and one large tug. 2 x 16 inch cargo hose tails can load the tanker at 41,000 bbls per hour. One tug provides static tow from astern throughout the loading operation.
Tankers are restricted to daylight approach and mooring.
Production
Production commenced in June 2008 and is currently averaging approximately 7 kbd. ExxonMobil has a 40% equity share.
