Through our work in Africa and the Pacific Rim, ExxonMobil has seen first-hand the devastating toll malaria takes on individuals, families and economies. Our own workplace malaria control program has made significant progress. We have averted more than 2,000 cases of malaria since 2000, and no ExxonMobil employee has died of malaria since 2007.
Beyond our workplace initiatives, ExxonMobil invests in a range of programs that address critical challenges in the fight against malaria. Our partners are dedicated to reducing malaria’s threat.
ADPP Angola's malaria project organizes 4,000 schoolchildren into Malaria Control Patrols to teach malaria prevention. ExxonMobil's partnership with ADPP supports a consortium for malaria prevention in local communities.
